Daniel Defense M4A1 RIII 14.5'' 5.56 x 45mm NATO Ambidextrous Handguard FDE

The M4A1 RIII AR15 style firearm features a fully ambidextrous lower that allows left and right handed shooters to operate the bolt catch, safety selector and magazine release without having to move or remove their dominant hand of the gun grip. Its GRIP-N-RIP charging handle is also ambidextrous. We've taken the quadruple-four RIS II rail used on our original M4A1 and replaced it with a 12.5-inch RIS III rail with M-LOK attachment for lighter weight while still offering an M203 grenade launcher attachment. The M4A1 RIII is built around a 14.5 inch Cold Hammer Forged Government Profile barrel with a permanently attached Daniel Defense flash suppressor. This rifle also comes with the Daniel ergonomic defense stock and pistol grip.

• Lower: Proprietary with improved flared magazine well, fully ambidextrous controls and rear receiver QD swivel attachment point. CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hardcoat anodized
• Upper: Mil-Spec with index marks and M4 feed ramps. CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hardcoat anodized
• Barrel: cold forged and chrome-plated steel with government profile, with a length of 14.5" (36.83 cm) with a rifling pitch of 1:7" (i.e. 177 mm)
• Gas Borrow: CNC machined pinned low profile gas block from hardened 4140 steel with Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating, mid-length, direct impingement
• Muzzle device: Daniel defense flame reducing muzzle brake pinned and welded in 17-4 PH stainless steel
• Housing: M16 profile, MP Mil-Spec tested, chrome plated, correctly staked gas key
• Handguard: Daniel Defense R III 12.5, patented, 6-bolt bolting system, flat dark earth CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum
• Cocking Lever: GRIP-N-RIP Type, CNC machined body from 7075-T6 aluminum, CNC machined handles and latch from 6061-T6 aluminum, heavy duty stainless steel rollers, Type III hardcoat anodized
