Company CAESAR GUERINI - Presentation and range of guns

It was in the year 2000 that the brothers Giorgio and Antonio Guerini embarked on a new adventure and created the firearms company Caesar Guerini.

It is in Brescia, in the heart of the Val Trompia in Italy, home to some of the world's most renowned firearms brands, that the adventure begins for the production of the new generation Caesar Guerini rifles.

The Guerini brothers wanted to create a company that would be one of the world's leading manufacturers of sporting firearms by juxtaposing Italian craftsmanship and modern production technologies.

Initially, Caesar Guerini was founded with an investment from FABARM SPA (a long-established arms manufacturer). FABARM SPA actively participated (along with the Guerini brothers) in defining the objectives and strategy of this new company.

INVICTUS System

The global solution: INVICTUS SYSTEM

Thanks to this first innovative INVICTUS CAM project, placed on the barrel and not on the breech, changing the trunnions has become an easy repair that can be carried out by non-specialized personnel and without the aid of special tools.

The second innovative project, INVICTUS BLOCK, located in the receiver, allows for the restoration of the alignment of the lower, lateral barrel catches. These two projects combined allow for the complete refurbishment of your firearm. Ready to fire a million rounds… INVICTUS also signifies a larger surface area for the bolt and catches than those found on most commercially produced shotguns on the market.

To improve the shooter's comfort on the firing line when opening and closing the weapon, the forend has been designed with a new patented device, called the DTS Action Control System: using a normal Allen key supplied with the weapon, this system allows for quick and micrometric adjustment of the friction, while ensuring a constant force, in response to inevitable changes over time.

It is therefore the shooter who will decide on the degree of friction, without having to compromise between new rifles, often too hard, and worn weapons which naturally have excessive play.

DTS

The "DTS" (Dynamic Tuning System) project was born a few years ago thanks to the strong commitment of our technicians and our company's investments in research and development. The goal of the "DTS" project is to provide cutting-edge technological solutions to meet the ever-increasing demand for customization among shooters. It is this technology and these innovations that enhance the aesthetics and elegance of our products, and represent the strengths that have set us apart to this day.

The "DTS" project includes several studies: adjustable top bands mounted on shooting rifles; rifled barrels for Express rifles are equipped with a device allowing convergence adjustment; a stock with adjustable cheek piece either in wood or in "No Impact" silicone; the "DTS Kinetic Balancer" device for the stock or the barrel, useful not only for adjusting balance but also for reducing recoil.

ADJUSTABLE AT BANDS

Created for 12 gauge competition shotguns such as American Trap and Double Trap. Mounted on over-and-under and single-barrel shotguns, in the new Top and Bottom versions, thanks to their 25mm height, they guarantee 100% adjustment of the height of the point of impact.

IMPACT ADJUSTABLE BANDS

The very ambitious objective is to offer a new approach to the shooter in relation to his weapon, through the possibility of a complete personalization of the rifle for shooters in the world of Trap and Sporting, who traditionally have difficulty changing their habits and have always preferred more classic rifles.

Designed for 12 or 20 gauge shotguns, these ribs are recommended for Trap and Sporting clays. The 17mm height of this top rib provides the shooter with the same feel as shooting a shotgun with a classic or flat rib. In practice, using a shotgun equipped with Impact technology undoubtedly offers a significant advantage over traditional ribs. They guarantee 80% accuracy in adjusting the height of the point of impact.

Revolutionary Adjustable Bands

The "DTS" Adjustable Rib project has recently been enhanced with a significant new product: the Evolution model. Its technical specifications and adjustments are similar to those of the Impact model. The new 14mm high adjustable rib features a vibration damping system in the middle of the barrel.

The spray pattern impact point adjustment is thus reduced to 50/50% or 70/30%, thereby reducing the overall height of the top band. The Evolution is the lowest adjustable band currently on the market.

There is significant demand from today's shooters for a high rib, but not all are looking for the settings offered on some Caesar Guerini shotguns. The new Ascent shotgun is the alternative.

It meets the needs of shooters who prefer a minimalist approach by offering a high, tapered rib with a DTS Monte Carlo stock. The barrels and stocks have been designed to provide the shooter with a well-balanced and highly maneuverable shotgun.

Regarding the barrels of over-and-under express rifles, in addition to the conical top ribs and the adjustable, highly fluorescent sights, the customer can mount their preferred optic simply by changing the mounts on the top rib. Here too, the DTS project's application is to provide the customer with the ability to adjust the point of impact according to their chosen ammunition. We have created an interchangeable shim positioned between the two barrels, allowing for quick and highly precise adjustment of the point of impact.

THE "DTS" CROZZLE

The DTS stock features a multidirectional adjustable cheek piece that allows for micrometric adjustment in 7 directions. It is available in wood or, upon request, in "No Impact" silicone, and depending on the version, they are fully interchangeable.

Furthermore, this stock, from the manufacturing stage, is equipped with a slot for incorporating the DTS Kinetic Balancer system, available upon request. This system, consisting of three weights positioned between springs, allows for optimal and personalized balancing, offering a significant reduction in recoil and improved weapon stability. Also available is a version for the barrel, the "DTS Barrel Balancer."

The mechanics

The forend features an interchangeable piece of special steel, positioned at the pivot point between the barrel lugs and the forend. This allows for adjustment of the length of pull after intensive use of the firearm. The Revenant and Invictus IX models are equipped with the patented "Winged" forend, which retains all the mechanical functions of other forend types and has two symmetrical lateral extensions that allow for full-surface engraving. The entire firing mechanism is designed for fast and reliable shots. The single trigger, gold-plated on some hunting models, is an inertia-driven type. The connection between the balance wheel and the weight is achieved with a ball bearing to minimize friction during firing. (The weight is fixed to the receiver rather than the trigger guard for added safety in case of drops or accidental impacts).

The sporting models feature a gold-plated trigger that is micrometrically adjustable, allowing for the slightest variation and optimizing not only the stock length but also the grip, thus providing maximum customization of the firearm. The hammers have a safety catch that engages in case of damage to the cocking notch, ensuring safety; these are actuated by coil springs and adjusted with rebounders, as found on premium shotguns. This allows the firing pin to retract after firing, resulting in a smoother barrel opening. As for the Ergal receivers, we have fitted two interchangeable stainless steel inserts to guarantee maximum durability and protect them against corrosion caused by firing gases.

The safety, located at the rear of the action, features a quick and easy-to-use selector switch. The ejectors have a high-performance cam directly attached to the extractor; this ensures consistent extraction force even when using high-powered ammunition. The extractors are held securely in place by a flat disc, which prevents breakage even under heavy use. This system is currently found only on high-end shotguns.

The butts and the wooden fore-ends

The high quality of the stocks is combined with an easy-to-maintain oil finish and fine, hand-finished checkering—features typically found on high-end shotguns. The hunting models feature a very elegant stock with a rounded, Prince of Wales-style grip. This handcrafted, semi-pistol grip stock is distinctly different from machine-made stocks of the same type. From a practical standpoint, its lack of sharp angles makes it much easier and more comfortable to hold, even for hands of varying sizes.

This model also comes with an elegant checkered wooden buttplate. Sporting guns, on the other hand, feature a pistol grip stock finished with a pre-drilled rubber buttplate for the takedown wrench, allowing for easy stock removal, unlike hunting guns. Whether hunting or target rifles, they are positioned in the high-end category, thanks to their fine hand engravings and the presence of a long trigger guard perfectly integrated into the stock without the use of any screws, culminating in an elegant steel cap that gives it its distinctive style.

The stocks are fitted with carefully selected wooden forends: tulip-shaped fore-ends for hunting and sporting, and beavertail for trap shooting. The beak-shaped forends of the Revenant and Invictus IX models are perfectly matched to the patented Winged iron forend, giving the gun an elegant, sinuous, and unique character. A touch of refinement found only on the finest "refined" guns. All forends are mounted using a simple Anson-type push-button, which is far more aesthetically pleasing than the classic "tap" design. Another rare feature on mass-produced models.

Barrel and chokes

The barrels, made of chrome-molybdenum steel, are drilled and bored to ensure maximum elasticity while preserving ballistic performance. Furthermore, they boast an impeccable finish thanks to a double polishing process, first by hand and then by machine. Various types of sights and top ribs are available, depending on the intended use of the different models. For hunting, you will find ventilated, conical top ribs, while in more prestigious ranges, classic, unventilated ribs are preferred; both are guilloché-engraved with spherical brass sights. On sporting models, white, spherical sights are mounted on 10mm ventilated, conical ribs; these are designed to create a low line along their entire length, helping the shooter maintain a proper shooting position.

At the customer's request, the barrels can be steel-proofed for use with steel shot. For 12-gauge barrels, we have developed a new bore geometry called "Maxisbore," and simultaneously, a new chamber-to-barrel connection system called "Duecon." These "Maxisbore" and "DueCon" designs allow the shot to reach a higher velocity and guarantee a significant reduction in recoil as well as less shot pattern distortion.

Upon request, the Ergal models are available with a rifled barrel specifically designed for close-quarters shooting in wooded areas, such as woodcock hunting. The barrel features an upper tube equipped with interchangeable "Maxischoke" chokes, while the lower tube has helical rifling over the last 14 centimeters, resulting in a wider and more even shot pattern from the first 8 to 10 meters. The "Maxisbore" project also introduced the "Maxischoke" chokes, which, being longer than the "Selectachoke" chokes, provide a gentler angle, thus improving shot pattern quality. Constructed from high-strength steel, like all chokes in the Caesar Guerini range, these chokes offer exceptional durability and are available in various versions for both hunting and target shooting.

The rockers and the engravings

The receivers, whether made of steel or ergal, are one-piece, which increases the material's resistance during firing. All NiCrMo receivers undergo a case hardening and tempering process that guarantees optimal flexibility at the core of the product while leaving an extremely hard surface. In fact, all Caesar Guerini models, including the light models, are tested at the Italian Proof House using a maximum pressure of 1320 bar.

The trunnions, made of high-strength steel, are interchangeable, and the large locking lugs contribute to the weapon's durability. For the false-frame models, there are no screws on the stock; the side plates are recessed and perfectly fitted to the stock. This allows for a uniform engraving without having to account for screws and also provides excellent mechanical preparation, enabling the assembly of the various parts with minimal tolerances.

In almost all Caesar Guerini models, the engraving on the top of the receiver and its lugs is done by hand; a characteristic found in handcrafted products and rarely in mass-produced ones. The shotguns feature highly refined engravings executed using various techniques but always finished by hand by master engravers who achieve impressive results, reflecting the spirit of each firearm category.
