The FABARM factory was born around 1900 and descends from a great Brescia dynasty, the Galesi family. The name FABARM taken from FABBRICA BRESCIANA DI ARMI literally means Arms Factory of Brescia. During the first decades of the twentieth century the production is essentially composed of juxtaposed rifles and pistols. Just after the Second World War, production expanded with over-and-under rifles which were added to the production of side-by-side Anson type guns, with the production of tilting gun barrels for other brands, and more surprisingly in the middle of the 50s of air rifles and weapons in caliber 9 mm Flaubert. At the end of the 1960s FABARM introduced its first semi-automatic shotgun, the GOLDENMATIC. The 1970s confirmed the industrial dimension of FABARM with an expansion of the range: Over and over competition shotguns spearheaded by the STL, winner of several world championships, juxtaposed shotguns with 4 hooks, a world reference for shooting at live pigeons, are then added shotguns and especially the ELLEGI semi-automatic gas-operated rifle. A light weapon, with an ERGAL 55 carcass, the ELLEGI was immensely successful in Europe and placed FABARM as one of the very rare companies then mastering the technique of semi-automatic reloading. The same dynamism and the same entrepreneurial vision logically lead FABARM to perfectly manage and anticipate the turn of the 2000s. Globalization is changing the situation, mature markets are contracting, countries with low labor costs are entering... FABARM is anticipating and leads a winning strategy. The company invests massively in human resources, places research and development at the center of its product policy, is one of the very first companies in the sector to acquire machining centres, robots, it organizes its production in tight flows. The new millennium corresponds to a third wind. FABARM files patents which will prove to be very important for the future of the brand (TRIBORE barrel, PULSE piston, HP chokes, AXIS rifle, etc.) it is also the recognition of the FABARM design, modern, tense, innovative but without provocation which creates a true FABARM identity.
