The rail makes for mounting a red dot in addition to a telescope
Allows the mounting of a red dot simultaneously with a telescope or open sight.

The DANIEL DEFENSE 1 O'clock Offset Rail is optimized to mount a compact red dot on the right or left of the rail. This type of mounting makes it possible to make transitions between the conventional sights (front sight or telescope) on the main rail, and the side of the rail on which it is possible to mount a red dot. The geometry of the system allows transitions between magnifying optics and optics without magnification and thus varying firing distances more easily.
This rail also allows the mounting of a lamp or any other accessory compatible with a picatinny rail.
