The M4A1 semi-automatic rifle is the civilian version of the famous - M4A1 RIS II - Used by the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) since 2005. It has a cold hammered forged barrel, giving it extraordinary precision. DANIEL DEFENSE is the only AR-15 manufacturer to use this process. The M4A1 Mil-Spec differs from other M4A1s by its Mil Spec + Cerakote finish.
- LOWER RECEIVER: CNC milled 7075-T6 Mil-Spec aluminum casing with Type III Hard Coat Anodized finish. The Magazine Well is reamed and upgraded for quick reloading. Inserts for Heavy Duty Quick Release Grenadiers (available from SIMAC ref: DDZ002).
- UPPER RECEIVER: Mil-Spec with optical position markings and accessories. M4 power ramp. CNC milled Aluminum 7075-T6, Type III hard anodized.
- BARREL: Chrome Moly Vanadium steel, Forged cold hammered. No scratches 1: 7, barrel length 14.5 ″ (36.83cm), M4 profile, chrome and Phosphate Mil Spec coating, Magnetic Particle Inspection (magnetic resonance imaging anti-cracking quality control process), Tested with High Pressure cartridges.
- Direct gas borrowed system, CNC-milled 4140 Tempered Steel throttle block, hardened Mil-Spec Phosphate coating, Carbine Length (length 7 "or 17.78cm)
- Daniel Defense flame hiding type muzzle brake in 17-4 PH stainless steel, surface treatment with sodium nitrate. 1⁄2 × 28 thread
- Front type M4A1 RIS II - Rail Interface System- (Multi-rail platform) in Aluminum 6061-T6
- Movable cylinder head assembly: Profile M16, Mil-Spec with Magnetic Particle Inspection, Chrome coating, Gas Key with crimped nuts.
- Rails covered with Santoprene® (vulcanized polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer material, which combines the qualities of rubber with the ease of machining of thermoplastic materials) resistant to 150 ° C
- Cerakote Black + FDE finish
