Silencers reduce the sound coming out of the barrel of a big game rifle when firing. For this the sound moderator consists of several separate chambers in which the expanding gases and the sound are trapped while the projectile passes through the central orifice. Simac notably offers the complete range of moderators from its Stalon, a Swedish brand particularly renowned in the world of hunting. The silencers can be of the following type: - Front: screwed to the end of the barrel, they are located entirely in front of it. - Telescopic: they partially encompass the barrel so as to protrude less on the front.
