The Daniel Defense AR15s are chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and therefore support both civilian and military ammunition.

The M4A1 AR15 type firearm is equipped with the RIS II picatinny rail, which has been used by the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD Block II program since 2005. The M4A1 is built around a 14.5-inch M4 profile barrel forged by cold hammering and a muzzle brake, also serving as a flame reducer, non-removable Daniel Defense. The independently ambient GRIP-N-RIP charging handle fits both left- and right-handed shooters. This rifle also comes with the ergonomic Daniel Defense Buttstock and Pistol Grip.

 

  • Lower: Mil-Spec with improved flared magazine well and rear receiver QD attachment point. CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hardcoat anodized.
  • Upper: Mil-Spec with index marks and M4 feed ramps. CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, Type III hardcoat anodized.
  • Barrel: Chrome Moly Vanadium steel, cold forged, 1:7 Twist, 14.5" M4 profile, chrome plated, Mil-Spec Heavy Phosphate Coated, and HP/MPI tested.
  • Gas Block: Low profile gas block, CNC machined from hardened 4140 steel with Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating, carbine length, direct impaction.
  • Muzzle device: Daniel Defense pinned and welded flash suppressor, extended, in 17-4 PH stainless steel, salt bath nitride finish.
  • Bolt Carrier Group: M16 profile, tested to Mil-Spec MP standard, chrome coated, properly staked gas key.
  • Buffer: Buffer H

  • Handguard: Daniel Defense M4A1 Rail Interface System (RIS) II, CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum
  • Stock extension: 7075-T6 aluminum with 6 positions according to Mil-Spec standard
  • Stock: Daniel Defense Buttstock, Glass Filled Polymer with Soft Touch Overmolding
  • Pistol grip: Daniel Defense Pistol Grip, Glass-filled polymer with Soft Touch overmolding
