Kryptek Highlander is one of ten contemporary camouflage patterns designed by the Kryptec Outdoor Group for tactical operators working in various transitional environments. Kryptek's innovative patterns incorporate cutting-edge technology and include verified camouflage concepts, successfully mimicking foliage and animals, as well as marine and geographic visual features. Much like Kryptek's other camouflage patterns, Highlander uses a multi-directional design to successfully conceal itself in a wide range of landscapes with lateral or vertical flow, both at close and long range. Two layers of transient shadows on the background, foregrounds with random and sharp geometric shapes, and a light-reflecting gradient with colors chosen to mimic the natural environment (browns, greens, grays, and beiges) contribute to create a three-dimensional effect that works well on mixed terrain consisting of different geographic regions and elevations. Kryptek camouflages have become very popular among hunters, airsoft and paintball players as well as special operations and law enforcement personnel.
