BARREL: Floating 10.3'' (26.2 cm) rifled at 1:7 pitch cold hammered, to military specifications. Made of chrome moly vanadium steel, with black Cerakote finish.
MOUTH BRAKE: Flame hider type A2 "Birdcage" in steel
LOWER: CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum to Mil-Spec standards
UPPER: CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum to Mil-Spec standards.
OPERATION: Direct gas borrow with low profile gas borrow block, CNC machined from hardened 4140 steel.
HEAD GROUP: M16 profile with chrome treatment
HAND GUARD: RIS II type front, fitted with four Picatinny rails: 21 mm Weaver to MILSTD 1913 standards with flexible rail protection in high-strength Santoprene, for better handling comfort and excellent grip.
HANDLE: Ergonomic handle with soft touch coating offering a comfortable and non-slip grip
STOCK: 6-position telescopic stock in reinforced fiberglass polymer, with Soft Touch coating, compatible with AR15 stock tubes to standard A2 standards.

All the mechanical parts and barrels produced by DANIEL DEFENSE are subject to rigorous verification, such as tests by magnetic treatment, to detect the slightest defect in the steels.
The MK18 chambered in caliber 5.56 mm, allows the use of both 223 Rem ammunition, the civil denomination, as well as 5.56x45 mm, more typical military, with significantly higher generated pressures. Compact (barrel of 10.3' or 26.16 cm).

If a FALKE LE is removed, it automatically switches to inactive mode after 5 minutes.
and will activate immediately when replaced.
If the FALKE LE is stored in a safe while it is still activated, it switches off completely after two hours.
When switched on again, the FALKE LE automatically returns to the previously set brightness level.
Brightness adjustment, including multiple levels for night vision devices, is done with a smart button that can also be operated with gloves.
The coated LED lens is similar to the sapphire crystal used in high-end Swiss watches. The lens is recessed into the housing for easy cleaning. This makes it easy to wipe away dirt or raindrops in fractions of a second, even when wearing gloves.
The patented "kill-flash" system (included) can be assembled and disassembled in seconds.
